How it works

The unscrambler runs entirely in your browser, so results are instant.

1. You type letters

Enter 2–15 letters in the input box. Case doesn't matter, and duplicates are respected — if you type aabb, we'll only build words using at most two A's and two B's.

2. Add wildcards if you want

Use ? to represent a blank tile — one that can match any letter. So ca? would match cab, cad, can, cap, car, cat, caw, cay, and more.

3. We check every word in the dictionary

We compare the letter counts of each dictionary word against your available letters (plus your wildcards). Only words that fit within what you have are shown.

4. Results are grouped by length

Longer words first, because those are usually the ones you're hunting for. Each group shows a count, and you can tap any word to see its dictionary definition.

The word list

We use a comprehensive public English word list of roughly 360,000 words filtered to lengths 2–15. This means you'll see some obscure words alongside the common ones — helpful for competitive play, but check your game's dictionary if you're playing officially.
